Morning Meditation LASC Morning Care
Grades: K-12

Summer Camp Week 6, July 8th-12th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members) 

Need to drop off early? No problem, begin the day by joining our morning meditation starting at 8am. Students can enjoy activities such as yoga, stretching, getting your body moving and more all while under the stars in our planetarium. LASC staff will guide students to their classrooms at 8:45am.

Summer Camp Week 6

Splish, Splash & Splatter
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5)

Teacher: Grace Kistner | July 8th-12th, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)

Are you ready to become an artist? Join this class where young artists can express themselves through a variety of learned art techniques. Sculpting imaginary creatures, crafting harmonicas, creating rain sticks, puppet storytelling, mask creating, painting, and much more! Every day will promise a mix of creativity, hands-on exploration, and delightful fun for our little artists!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Paper Party! Living Through Mixed Media
Grades: 6th-8th

Teachers: Gaby Hoss & Kenn Minter | July 8th-12th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $350 (member $325)

Paper, paint, collage, we've got it all!

In this class students will work in the morning with artist Gaby Hoss learning how to draw still life and explore with different types of mediums including pencil, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor, acrylic, and more. In the afternoon students will study with local artist and cartoonist Kenn Minter exploring all things paper. Students will create their own masks, mosaic, collages and explore their interest in drawing, cartooning and more! 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Sea-Ramics Adventures CLASS FULL
Grades: 3rd-5th

Teachers: Dani Garner & Meghan Taylor | July 8th-12th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $350 (members $325)

Get ready to set sail on an ocean adventure as we learn all about the ocean and conservation!

Join us to learn about your favorite sea creatures, the place they call home, and how we can work together to protect them! Students will also spend lots of time in our ceramics studio practicing surface decorating and use tools found from the sea to turn their bowls, and cups into sea-ramic crafts. Wheel throwing and basic hand-building will both be taught in this class.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch and a personal water bottle for their child.

Under the Sea
Grades: K-2nd

Teacher: Amy Schmidt | July 8th-12th, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

The ocean is a big place and there is so much to talk about and learn! Join us as we study the underwater worlds and create works of art and science experiments all water-related. Students will also learn about sea creatures, play fun games, and expand their minds about the ocean. 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Music Mania
Grades: 3rd-5th

Teacher: Will Padgett | July 8th-12th, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)
Grades: 3rd-5th 

Do you love music? If so, then this rhythm and beat class is for you. Join us with local, professional musician Will Padgett, as we take a trip through the history of Appalachian, folk, Irish, country, and other music styles. The class will provide REAL instruments to try out, rhythm and beat games, group singing, songwriting, ukulele lessons, and creating your own playable instrument.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Wonderful World of Rainbows
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5)

Teacher: Brittany | July 8th-12th, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)

The Rainbow is filled with so many beautiful colors and in this class, we will explore them all. Our Pre-K friends will read stories, create crafts, and do science activities related to all the colors of the rainbow. Expect tie dye, colorful bubbles, rainbow slime, and more!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Ceramics: Garden Gnomes & Fairy Homes
Grades: 9th-12th

Teacher: Lyndsey Cutler | July 8th-12th, 9:00am-12:00pm | $200 (members $175) 
Grades: 9th-12th 

Join us for this half-day ceramics class where students will learn valuable ceramics hand-building skills. Students will form their own mushroom homes and mini gnomes to go inside. Fire, glaze, and students will have a full garden set of gnomes and gnome homes.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Learning Lounge LASC Aftercare
Grades: K-12th

Summer Camp Week 6: July 8th-12th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)

Join LASC for the aftercare Learning Lounge. Students can enjoy supervised crafts, games, activities, and recreation time after class. Students need to be picked up by 5:30 pm.
