November 15 | Discovery Saturday | Trash to Treasure Workshop

All ages (18 & under needs to be accompanied by an adult)
Turn your trash into treasure in this fun, hands-on class for the whole family! Learn how to creatively reuse everyday items that would otherwise be thrown away and transform them into unique art that helps the environment. This eco-friendly workshop encourages sustainability and creativity. Let’s reduce, reuse and recycle all while making something wonderful and creative.

Join us for a creative class where students explore the science and beauty of winter through hands-on projects. Blending art and simple experiments, students will discover the unique aspects of ice, snow, and crystallization. This class encourages observation, critical thinking, and artistic expression, perfect for young scientists and artists alike!

Vote for Creativity: Art and Science in Action! In this class you’ll get to be a part of LASC’s first election to nominate an animal ambassador as mayor of LASC. Students will learn about what it means to be a good citizen and how the government works. We’ll discuss how leaders are chosen through elections, and the important job everyone has to help make their community a better place.
