Give your class an immersive experience in innovation & creation!
Join us on an educational adventure at The Living Arts & Science Center. Each Summer Field Trip visit includes a Planetarium Show, hands-on learning in our Exhibition spaces, Art Activities & LIVE SCIENCE!
The Tour: Your Field Trip Leader will guide you through 3 rotation areas depending on your group’s age. We offer Field Trips for Pre-K through Adulthood.
Field Trips are offered Tuesday through Friday, 10:00am -11:30am.
Optional: additional lunchtime, 11:30am - 12:00pm.
Arrival: 9:50am - 10:00am
Departure: 11:30am-11:40am

Kentucky Encounter
Ages: Pre-K–5th Grade
Planetarium Show, Creator's Classroom, and
Kentucky Animal Room,.
Objectives:
Kentucky Wildlife, History, Ecosystems, Animal Adaptations.

Sown, Grown, & Served: Sustainable Journeys of Our Food
Ages: Pre-K–5th
Planetarium Show, Creator's Classroom,
and Discovery Room.
Objectives:
Sustainability, Food Education, Natural Resource Energy
• Rotation 1: Project in the Creator’s Classroom
◦ Life cycle of a plant project
• Rotation 2: Planetarium Show
◦ Habitat Earth
• Rotation 3: Discovery Room
◦ Hands on learning experience
Middle and High School
Field Trips
Please choose from the following options.
You may choose however many that add up to
1 hour 30 minutes
• Planetarium show (Dark Matter 45 min)
• Planetarium show (Two small pieces of glass 30 min)
• Collage workshop (1hr)
• Glove gardening project (30 min)
• Animal meet and greet (30 min)
• Discovery Exhibit (30 min)
• Gallery tour (30 minutes)
• Self-explore (30 minutes only an option for high school)
Pricing
The Living Arts & Science Center can host up to 2 groups/classes of 8-27 students each day.
Each Group/Class of 8-27 students costs $175 ($125 for title one)
Lunch fee: All groups - A $50.00 cleaning fee will be added to the invoice.
Field Trip Cancellation policy:
Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the field will be responsible for paying half the billed invoice.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of field trip are responsible for paying the full price of the billed invoice.
**Note: In case of weather advisory LASC and the school/organization will work together to reschedule the field trip.

FAQ
Payment is due on the date of the Field Trip visit.
Invoice changes must be made 10 days prior to scheduled Field Trip.
Gift Shop - Groups can visit the gift shop at the end of the Field Trip.
Lunch - Groups may bring their own lunches to enjoy here at The LASC Center.
Parents/Relatives - We ask that these numbers be kept to a minimum due to capacity. Should your school/organization relay on parent transport please contact Grace Kistner to discuss options.
Any parents who attend the field trip must have prior permission by LASC and will be required to pay the $8 admission fee
If your group is unable to attend our set Field Trip times - please inquire about our group visitor rates at 859-252-5222.
Incase of a weather advisory we reserve the right to cancel/postpone a field trip.
