Fayette County Public Schools 2026 Secondary Art Exhibition
Fayette County Public Schools 2026 Secondary Art Exhibition will be taking over our galleries April - May! We'll have over a thousand pieces of art showcased across our campus, including works from elementary, middle, and high school students. This showcase opens April 17th with an exhibition reception to close out the gallery May 15th. Participating students will be invited to show off their artwork during our upcoming Discovery Saturday, April 18th. Celebrate young, blossoming artists with us and see through the eyes of Fayette County students. Galleries will be viewable during regular visiting hours between April 17th and May 15th.
Nerd's Night Out - Brewer Dude
Experience LASC out in the community in a whole new way! Join us May 12th at Brewer Dude for another edition of "Nerd's Night Out," where we bring the heart and soul of what the The Living Arts & Science Center offers into more adult spaces, so that grown-ups who work hard can play even harder! These evenings blend interactive exhibits, science exploration, art-making, and social connection. Nerds Night Out reflects what LASC does best: making learning joyful, accessible, and relevant—no matter your age. Grab a brew, round up your friends, and reconnect with your childlike wonder through any number of the activities we'll be providing! This event is FREE to attend!
Fayette County Public Schools 2026 Secondary Art Exhibition Award Ceremony
The Living Arts & Science Center, in partnership with Fayette County Public Schools, will conclude the 2026 Secondary Art Exhibition with a closing reception and awards ceremony for middle and high school students on Friday May 15th from 5:00–7:00 PM. Families, friends, and supporters are encouraged to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of these young artists.
The Great Tile Throwdown
Welcome to the first ever LASC Great Tile Throwdown! It's Mahjong Madness!
June 6th, we're kicking off our first "Great Tile Throwdown" here at The Living Arts & Science Center! Our friends from Mahjong Lex will be on-site to help guide beginners with their play, with separate tables for proficient players that are ready to jump right in. This event is for all skill levels, whether you've played your whole life or have always wanted to learn the game of Mahjong. It's fun for all, and all for fun!
$75 per player. Proceeds from this tournament will support STEM education for Central Kentucky. Come play for a good cause!
Putt Putt Par-TEE
2nd Annual Putt Putt Par-TEE to benefit Arts & Science Education in Kentucky
We are celebrating our 10 years in the Lucille Caudill Little Discovery Center! Think back to your 10 year old birthday party. Now add a custom putt putt course, pay to play games, and have a blast playing like a kid again.

No School Day Class | Craft Lab
Teacher: Gaby Hoss | $350 (Members $325)
Grades: 6-8th grade
Get creative in Craft Lab! Middle school students will explore a variety of materials and techniques to make unique art projects while building skills and expressing themselves in a creative, imaginative space.
This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center.
Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
No School Day Class | Under The Sea
Teacher: Kristin Sauer | $350 (Members $325)
Grades: K-5th grade
Dive Under The Sea with us as we create our own underwater worlds with art projects, stories, and games! Students will explore sea life, unique animals, and underwater habitats through creative activities using clay, paper, and more.
This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center.
Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
No School Day Class | Sculpture Park
Teacher: Meredith Coffey | $350 (Members $325)
Grades: K-5th grade
Join our Sculpture Park class, where students will explore 3D art by creating their own mini sculptures using a variety of materials. They will be learning basic techniques and skills to bring their unique ideas to life!
This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center.
Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
