Summer Camp Week 2

Morning Meditation LASC Morning Care
Grades: K-12th

Summer Camp Week 2, June 10th-14th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members) 

Need to drop off early? No problem, begin the day by joining our morning meditation starting at 8am. Students can enjoy activities such as yoga, stretching, getting your body moving and more all while under the stars in our planetarium. LASC staff will guide students to their classrooms at 8:45am.

Basic Ceramics CLASS FULL
Grades: 6th-8th

Teachers: Alyssa Givens & Marianne Brown | June 10th-14th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $365 (member $340)

Are you ready to play in some clay? In this class, students will learn all things ceramics by two of our wonderful clay instructors, Marianne Brown and Alyssa Givens. Join us as we explore different techniques of forming clay by hand and exploring wheel throwing. Using patterns and textures form in clay students will have the oppurtunity to create their own cups, bowls, mugs, vases, and more!

 This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Around the World in Five Days
Grades: 3rd-5th

Teachers: Meredith Coffey & Meghan Taylor | June 10th-14th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $350 ($325)

Can you travel the world in 5 days? Grab your gear because we're traveling all around the world to learn about the landscapes and animals that make up our amazing planet. During our journey across the globe we will use experiments, creative expressionism, diorama building, and research to better understand our amazing home. Students will spend their afternoons in the LASC teaching kitchen learning to cook a vareity of yummy foods from a variety of different countries they traveled throughout the morning. They'll explore and then taste test their yummy made treats. 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch and a personal water bottle for their child.

Out of this World Space Camp
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5)

Teacher: Grace Kistner | June 10th-14th, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)

Calling all space exlorers! Get ready to explore the expansive universe. Little Explorers will love learning about planets, stars, the moon, and much more! Students will do fun science experiments, along with creating fun crafts. We'll also enjoy a planetarium show and create our very own rocket to send to space! 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Get Energized! (Move and Fuel your Body)

Grades: K-2nd

Teachers: Hannah Jones & Audrey Harmon | June 10th-14th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

This class is a cooking & music LASC special! Students will spend the morning in LASC's teaching kitchen learning to cook and bake healthy snacks. They will learn kitchen safety skills while learning about healthy and unhealthy foods. After lunch students will get moving as they learn all about music from Miss Audrey. Students will explore different instruments, learn about rhythm, beat temp and gain an understanding of the importance of keeping your body healthy by moving and staying active. 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Learning Lounge Aftercare
Grades: K-12th

Summer Camp Week 2: June 10th-14th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)

Join LASC for the aftercare Learning Lounge. Students can enjoy supervised crafts, games, activities and recreation time after class. Students must be picked up by 5:30pm.
