Morning Meditation LASC Morning Care
Grades: K-12th

Summer Camp Week 7, July 15th-19th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members) 

Need to drop off early? No problem, begin the day by joining our morning meditation starting at 9 am. Students can enjoy activities such as yoga, stretching, getting your body moving, and more all while under the stars in our planetarium. LASC staff will guide students to their classrooms at 8:45 am.

 

Summer Camp Week 7

Cozy Cups & Coozies

Grades: 6th-8th

Teacher: Alyssa Givens | July 15th-19th, 9:00am-4:00pm | $350 (members $325)

Join LASC for a rocking combo beginner crochet and ceramics class. This class will begin in the clay studio with students learning the ceramic basics and creating a variety of mugs from clay slabs. The afternoon will be spent learning how to crochet with tons of colorful yarn and designs perfect to create your very own personal ceramic mug, and coozie combo.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch and a personal water bottle for their child.

Project Clue
Grades: 9th-12th

Teacher: Dani Garner | July 15th-19th, 1:00pm-4:00pm | $200 (members $175)

Join us for a Murder Mystery-inspired class! During this class, students will participate in a live-action Clue scenario, where they will have to work together to get to the bottom of things! This class is perfect for students who are interested in acting, performing, and storytelling!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Create your Own City! Ceramic and Recycled Style
Grades: 3rd-5th

Teacher: Brittany Morton & Meghan Taylor | Augest 5th-9th, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

Calling all builders!

Students will work together to create an AMAZING recycled city and a city built from clay. Using teamwork and collaboration, students can decide what is important to have in their hand-built city. This class will emphasize critical thinking, creation, reducing, reusing, recycling and give students a chance to expand their clay building skills in the LASC’s ceramics studio.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Little Entomologist “Bugs, Slugs & other Creepy Crawlies”
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5)

Teacher: Meredith Coffey | July 15th-19th, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)

Do you like bugs?

In this class, we love bugs and insects too! Join us as we become entomologists for the week! We’ll explore different kinds of bugs, create goggles, magnifying glasses, and bug slime. Students will go on bug hunts and meet the live bugs and animals that live at LASC. We will learn the importance of looking and not harming our new friends.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Paper Mache Planets
Grades: K-2nd

Teacher: Grace Kistner & Gaby Hoss | July 15th-19th, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

The solar system is vast and amazing! Each day, we will examine the planets and learn something new. Students will get creative and make a model of an entire solar system!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Learning Lounge LASC Aftercare
Grades: K-12th

Summer Camp Week 7: July 15th-19th | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)

Join LASC for the aftercare Learning Lounge. Students can enjoy supervised crafts, games, activities and recreation time after class. Students must be picked up by 5:30pm.

Shark Week
Grades: K-5th

Teacher: Ruth Cathey | July 15-19th, 9:00am - 4:00 pm | $350 ($325 Members)
Grades: K-5th

Dive into this deep-sea adventure and learn all about sharks! Get sharky singing songs, learn amazing shark facts, and create shark bookmarks, sun catchers, and much more. We will also enjoy time in the kitchen making sweet sharky treats! 

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center and all applicable safety guidelines will be practiced. Parents should provide two peanut-free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
