Summer Camp Week 5: June 29th-July 3rd

Morning Meditation LASC Morning Care
Grades: K-8

Summer Camp Week 5, June 29th-July 3rd | K - 8th Grade | $50 ($45 Members) 

Need to drop off early? No problem, begin the day by joining our morning meditation starting at 8am. Students can enjoy activities such as yoga, stretching, getting your body moving and more all while under the stars in our planetarium. LASC staff will guide students to their classrooms at 8:45am.

S.T.A.R.S: Science, Technology, Art, Reading & Space
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5)

Teacher: Grace Kistner | June 29th-July 3rd, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)

STARS is where young learners explore Science, Technology, Art, Reading, and Space through fun, hands-on activities and play-based learning. Each day focuses on a different subject, giving children the chance to experiment, create, explore books, and learn about the wonders of space. STARS encourages curiosity, imagination, and a love of learning in a fun and creative environment designed just for little learners.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Let’s Go Camping
Grades: K-2nd

Teachers: Brittany Morton | June 29th-July 3rd, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)
Grades: K-2nd 

Get ready for a fun-filled adventure as we bring camping indoors for the week! Campers will explore the basics of camping. Everything from setting up tents and cooking camp-friendly meals to learning outdoor safety, observing wildlife, and practicing eco-friendly habits. Along the way, they’ll play games, tell stories, create hands-on projects, and discover more about animals and nature. The week ends with a special campout under the stars in LASC’s planetarium!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Puppet Magic
Grades: K-5th

Teacher: Amy Schmidt | June 29th-July 3rd, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)
Grades: K-5th grade 

In this imaginative and creative camp, students will design and create their own puppets, then bring them to life on stage! Using recycled materials, fabric, paper, and fun embellishments, campers will build unique puppets and learn how to make them move and express emotion. They’ll rehearse simple scripts and perform behind a small curtain, gaining confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills. This playful camp blends art, storytelling, and performance for a fun and memorable experience.

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Monster Mash
Grades: 3rd-5th

Teachers: Christine Collier & Marianne Brown | June 29th-July 3rd, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $365 ($340 Members)
Grades: 3rd-5th grade 

Get ready to mash, squish, and sculpt in Monster Mash! In this ceramics-focused summer camp, students will use clay to design and create silly, spooky, and imaginative monster creations. Campers will learn hand-building techniques, explore texture and form, and experiment with glazing and just be creative in the ceramic studio. Perfect for students who love getting messy, being creative, and bringing monsters to life in clay!

This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.

Music Makers Studio: Write, Play, Perform
Grades: 6th-8th

Teacher: Will Padgett | June 29th-July 3rd, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)
Grades: 6th-8th grade 

This hands-on music class invites students to explore the world of music through playing, creating, and performing. Participants will learn the basics of playing a variety of instruments, including ukulele and percussion, while also having the opportunity to bring and play their own instruments. Students will build simple instruments such as can-tars, experiment with rhythm using drums, and explore the history of music across different cultures and time periods. Through guided activities, they will develop foundational music skills, collaborate with peers, and try their hand at songwriting and musical expression. The week will end with a final performance, where students will showcase what they’ve learned for friends and family. No prior musical experience is required—just curiosity, creativity, and a love of sound.

Learning Lounge LASC Aftercare
Grades: K-8th

Summer Camp Week 5, June 29th-July 3rd | K-8th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)

Join LASC for the aftercare Learning Lounge. Students can enjoy supervised crafts, games, activities, and recreation time after class. Students need to be picked up by 5:30 pm.
