LASC Discovery Saturdays
Discovery Saturdays are FREE every 3rd Saturday of each month. This FREE day at LASC feature shows in the Farish Planetarium, Pre-K Storytime, self-guided art projects, and countless hands-on learning opportunities inspired by a different theme each month! Discovery Saturdays are welcome to people of all ages to come and engage in the arts and sciences!

August 15th from 10 AM - 2 PM, we invite all the creative minds of Kentucky to join us for an Inventors Workshop! Come dressed as your favorite inventor throughout history, get ready to build straight from your imagination in our TinkerLab, and say hello the amazing folks from Failing Formally of First Kentucky Robotics for an epic takeover featuring crafts, STEM kits, robot demos, and more!

September 19th from 10 AM - 2 PM, we invite the community to the grand opening of our newest Discovery Room exhibit, "Anything But Trash!" where people of all ages can learn about the importance of recycling at all it's stages. There'll be plenty of hands-on activities, including arts & crafts made from recycled materials, a composting demonstration, and much more! And make sure to stop by and say hello to our friends from Bank of America, who'll be set up on-site during the Discovery Saturday fun.
