Attention storytellers: this is the class where you begin your literary and
artistic career. We shall begin the class with storyboards--where you lay out
your riveting narratives. Then we draw and write and write and draw, inspired by

collage, calligraphy, thin-brush paints, and faux gold-leaf for finishing
touches, and then we bind the books ourselves. We each make a few (exploring

Calling young artists: it is time to paint your world. That means painting
pictures of the world as you see it--from self-portraits to character
illustrations to (not so) still life studies. It also means, of course, painting

This class will explore the basics of painting through color, composition, and
texture. We will work with traditional acrylic, but also make our very own
natural paints from scratch (using linseed oil, egg whites, quark, and lots of
