Guidelines           Registration and Cancellation Policies

If you have any questions about guidelines or policies please call for clarification.   A completed 2008 - 2009 Emergency Contact and Medical Information Form must be given to the LASC on the first day if we do not have one on file. 

Dress for a mess! Your child will be working with a variety of materials in close quarters. As a precaution we ask that students wear older clothes. Please label any lunch boxes or bags and any outerwear. 

Shoes To avoid injury on stairs and outdoors, students must wear tennis shoes or sturdy closed-toe shoes.   (No flip-flops, please!) 

Do not send any electronic games, cell phones, or personal toys unless a teacher requests this. The LASC cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of personal student property. 

Provide a snack and beverage for break time during 3hr classes and a separate sack lunch if enrolled in the supervised lunch program. We have a cooler. We do not have vending machines. 

Arrival   Students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before the start of their class.  You must come inside with your child and check in with the teacher at the scheduled time.   After the roll sheet is verified, please leave the classroom (unless it is a parent/child class).  Please do not block the driveway or leave cars standing in front of the entry.  Please keep cell phones silenced while in the building. 

During Class You are welcome to remain downstairs during your child's class if you choose. Wait in the Library (if it is not being used as a classroom), in The Shop, or on the lawn.  You may not wait in the classrooms or upstairs hall.  Please keep cell phones silenced while inside. 

Departure  Students may not wait for their rides outside the building.  Parents/caregivers must come to the classroom at dismissal time. Teachers must see the person who is picking up a student from their classroom.  Please let teachers know if your child is riding home with some one other than yourself.  Don’t be late at dismissal time! A fee of $ 5.00 per 5 min. will be charged after 15 min.  

Lost and Found  We will store artwork, projects and lunch packs that have been left behind, for one week.  Our storage space is very limited!

 Registration and Cancellation Policies – The Living Arts & Science Center
 *Before enrolling your child in any classes or programs, please be sure they are ready and willing to participate cooperatively in a creative learning environment.   We encourage you to select classes that are appealing to your child.

1. Register immediately by phone, fax or mail! (Classes fill up quickly!) Use the registration form in Imagine That! or on the Website.

2. Class registrations are guaranteed when the LASC has received payment. Payment may be made with a Visa, MasterCard, or check.

3. Upon registration, parents will be sent a class confirmation and Emergency Contact & Medical Information form that must be completed and returned to the LASC.

4. The (M) price is a discounted price for LASC members. Be sure to check your membership status or join as a new member to get your discount!

5. To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least one week before the first day of class. No refunds will be given after the deadline.

6. To receive a class credit, cancellations must be made prior to 4 PM on the Thursday before the start of class.

7. To remain at the LASC between12 noon and 1 PM students must be enrolled in the supervised lunch program. The cost is $25(M), $35(NM) per week and students must bring a sack lunch each day.

8. Class size is set at 12 students unless otherwise indicated in the class description. You may call or check the Website to see if a class is full.

9. The LASC reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet minimum enrollment.

10. If the class for which you are registered does not appear to be meeting minimum enrollment, you will be notified  before the start of the class. Should that occur, you will have the option of applying your registration toward another class or canceling your registration.
